The Valley’s Michelle Saniei Shares Her Shocking Birth Story on New Podcast, Claims Ex Jesse Lally “Slept All Night” While She Was Having Contractions

On her new podcast, Michelle Saniei revealed her shocking birth story, claiming she let her then-husband Jesse Lally “sleep all night” while she was having contractions and “shaking.” The Valley star also recalled him arguing with the doctor, who suggested that Michelle could “die.”

In season one, Michelle opened up about her marital issues with Jesse, who was determined to fight for their marriage. They separated shortly after filming, and Michelle filed for divorce.

On the first episode of her new “Pursuit of Sassiness” podcast, Michelle recalled her birth story with Jesse.

“I’m sleeping, and I wake up, and I start having contractions,” she said, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “And I tell Jesse, and he’s like, ‘Wait as long as you can because people get sent back to the hospital.’ So I let the guy sleep all night while I’m having contractions at home by myself.”

“He finally wakes up and he’s like, ‘Relax … Are you ready to go to the hospital?'” she continued. “I’m like shaking at this point. I’m like, ‘we need to go right now.'”

According to Michelle, Jesse offered to make her breakfast because the hospital doesn’t have “good food.”

“I immediately vomit the eggs [he made],” she said. “I don’t even remember arriving [at the hospital later on]. He had to get a wheelchair cause I couldn’t walk up to the elevator … I said give me that epidural immediately, and Jesse was very anti-everything. He wanted natural, and like this is not happening. I’m four centimeters, and I’m gonna die.”

When they gave her the epidural, she was “stuck at seven centimeters for like a day.”

“My doctor was like, ‘you have high pressure.’ I wasn’t feeling well. He’s like, ‘If we don’t do something, then we’re gonna have to do a C-section,” she recalled. “And then Jesse starts arguing with the doctor. Like, ‘No. She’s not gonna have’ — there was something he wanted to help induce me, and they’re arguing.”

“Finally, my doctor is like, ‘Do you want her to die, or do you want to have a healthy baby? We’re doing this now. I’m overruling you,'” she said. “And he did it. And thank god that night I delivered Isabella.”

Around that time, Michelle announced the new podcast.

“I’m thrilled to share my new (and first!) podcast, Pursuit of Sassiness, with you!” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you @iheartradio for giving me a platform to open up and to introduce you to the real me.”
