This past Sunday, the season two premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 returned to New York City. However, according to Comicbook, AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 provided a slightly different view into the apocalypse. In the recently released teaser trailer, Daryl, played by Norman Reedus (American Gangster, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) and Carol, played by Melissa McBride (American Gothic, A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne), are seen on a ferry as they sail past the destroyed Tower Bridge in London. The teaser then cuts to Daryl in mid shoot-out in what looks like the Tabernas Desert in Spain. View the teaser below:
In 2024, Daryl and Carol in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, saw the pair reunite in France. Choosing to stay behind together, Ash, the aircraft pilot played by Manish Dayal (Rise, Halt and Catch Fire) flies Laurent, played by Louis Scigliuzzi (Show Me More) out of Paris to America for safety. According to Comicbook, after escaping Madame Genet, Daryl and Carol make their way into Île-de-France, in search of a passage to England, with a goal of getting back to America.
According to Comicbook, the third season will be firmly based in Madrid, following the harrowing London trip. The spinoff’s other locales include Galicia, Aragon, Catalonia and the Valencia regions of Spain, which will “provide a new and unique backdrop for the post-apocalyptic world.” Tracking Carol and Daryl’s journey home, the third season will deviate the pair as they face struggles, hardships, and unfamiliar conditions inside the Walker apocalypse.
Aside from Reedus and McBride’s return, Comicbook details the third season has casted numerous guest stars such as Stephen Merchant (Hello Ladies, The Good Place), Eduardo Noriega (The Wolf, For The Good of Others), Oscar Jaenada (The Platform, Awareness), Alexandra Masangkay (Rich Flu, Code Name: Emperor), Candela Saitta (Maxima, El Primero de Nosotros), and Hugo Arbues (Moire, Madres Amor y Vida).
Season three of Daryl Dixon will premiere this Fall on AMC.
