The second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City will premiere on AMC and AMC+ beginning May 4. A new season means new cast members, and this season, TWDU welcomes Keir Gilchrist to Dead City. Before the premiere of his latest role, Gilchrist will appear in a new action comedy from Lionsgate, Freaky Tales.
Freaky Friday is written and directed by Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden, the filmmaking duo best known for Captain Marvel. Executive producers include Jillian Share, Jen Gorton, Charles D. King, James Lopez, Justin Bursch, Victor Moyers, Todd Anthony Shaw, David Weintraub, and hip-hop pioneer Too $hort.
The story is set in 1987 Oakland, California, and features four stories that are interconnected and actually took place during real historical events. The official synopsis reads: Freaky Tales is a multi-track mixtape of colorful characters — an NBA star, a corrupt cop, a female rap duo, teen punks, neo-Nazis, and a debt collector — on a collision course in a fever dream of showdowns and battles.
Gilchrist joins the all-star cast of Pedro Pascal, Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Normani, Dominique Thorne, Jack Champion, Ji-young Yoo, Angus Cloud, and Tom Hanks in the action comedy Freaky Tales.
