Announced by the official Dead By Daylight X account, the next crossover for the game will be centered on The Walking Dead. More information will be revealed tomorrow. The development roadmap previously detailed by developer Behavior Interactive confirmed that a second licensed chapter would occur in July after the June Five Nights at Freddy's crossover.

Based on the aforementioned roadmap, the crossover with The Walking Dead is expected sometime this month, likely near the middle or end, like previous chapters. The roadmap also detailed that this July chapter would feature two survivors, no killer, and an update to the Rift. It appears that there won't be a new Walking Dead killer introduced, and the focus will be on the main characters from TWD instead. Recently, Springtrap from FNAF joined the killer roster with no new survivors, so this is pretty typical for DBD content strategy.
DBD has relied on horror crossovers for a long time, and fans seem to not be able to get enough of it, making DBD the asymmetrical horror game. With original chapters being developed as well, DBD has become a horror slasher sandbox of sorts. There isn't another game in which players can play as Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2 and chase down Laurie Strode from the Halloween films. Before FNAF and this upcoming TWD chapter, we also got the game's first anime crossover with Tokyo Ghoul, so the possibilities are virtually endless.
