The Young and the Restless Monday, July 28 Update: Cane’s Sacrifice for Lily Ends in Two Deaths

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, July 28, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will kiss Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) while Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) sacrifice for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) ends in two deaths.

Once Nick’s on the train, he’ll push Sharon to stay with him as he continues to grunt over his injury.

After a warm moment, Nick will ask Sharon to come closer and will ultimately plant a kiss on her.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will hike down to see how much progress has been made on the tracks and will learn they were finished two days ago.

Meanwhile, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will try to convince Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) not to give up Chancellor for Nick’s freedom.

Nikki will remain determined to save her son on Monday’s Y&R episode, but she’ll insist on seeing Nick with her own eyes before she signs anything.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will take Nikki and Lauren to the storage room, so they’ll all be alarmed over the blood left over from Nick’s ordeal.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will continue to eavesdrop with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) as Cane tries to coax a murder confession out of Carter (Vincent Stalba).

When the security guard interrupts Cane with news on Nick’s injury and getaway with Sharon, Victor will take off to find them.

Once Victor’s on the train, he’ll get the scoop from Nick and Sharon on how their escape went down.

Amanda will make sure cell service is turned back on and will call the police to the estate right away.

Once Nikki fusses over hurt Nick on the train, everyone will realize the cell signal is back.

Victor will guess it’s because Cane knows he’s lost and will be eager to get everyone home.

Sharon will contact Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and get him to send some assistance for Nick before the sound of a helicopter is heard.

Back with Cane, he’ll get Carter to admit Damian was a threat to his boss’ perfect reunion with Lily.

Carter will explain his meticulous plan as flashbacks show he was indeed the culprit.

After Carter pushes for help getting out of the country, he’ll want to change his name and start over.

Cane make it clear that’s not happening – though he’ll suggest Amanda might be willing to defend Carter as a client.

Once Chance comes out of hiding, he’ll intend to hold Carter until the authorities take over.

That’ll leave Carter angry over Cane turning against him after all the loyalty he’s offered.

When Lily pops up, Carter will whip out a gun and take her hostage so he can try to leave the estate.

As Carter and Lily head through the maze, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will encounter them and try to talk Carter down.

Cane and Chance will finally catch up to the rest of them, so Cane will trade himself for Lily as a hostage.

Once Carter lets Lily go and holds his weapon on Cane, he’ll decide to end his boss’ life and leave Lily freaking out.

Chance will jump in front of Cane and struggle with Carter over the gun, which will fire into Chance’s chest.

After Chance sinks to the ground, he’ll realize he’s not going to make it and will want Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) to know he loves him.

Billy, Cane and Lily will all be gathered around as they realize Chance is dead.

Carter will also die by his own hands, so Cane will find his body after another gunshot rings out.

Once Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) find out all the horror, Jack will blast Cane over his party gone wrong.

Lily will just want to go home, so Cane will insist he can arrange that.

After Lily says she’s sorry for accusing Cane of murder, she’ll acknowledge that’s not something he would do.

In the end, Cane will refuse to surrender when it comes to his goal of winning Lily back and building a new life for himself in Genoa City.

After Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hears about all the Chance and Carter drama, she’ll assume Billy no longer wants Cane as an ally.

Billy will stand his ground on working with Cane to go after Chancellor, so he’ll recruit Phyllis’ assistance.
