The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) obsession could be the real threat to Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) future with him.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has recruited Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to sink Kyle’s relationship with Claire, but there’s no guarantee she’ll be successful.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is already suspicious of Audra’s deal with Victor and her strange predictions about Kyle’s romance with Claire falling apart.
Even Claire and Kyle are curious about what Audra’s up to now that she’s been gloating about the looming competition.
In other words, Audra may be messing up Victor’s plan by being too mouthy!
It feels like Audra is dropping too many hints that could come back to bite her.
Although Audra intends to lure Kyle into a compromising position, Claire may see through the scheme in the end.
That’s especially true since Kyle gave Claire updates on Victor’s Jabot spy games in Y&R’s April 18 episode.
Claire is starting to see what her grandpa’s capable of, so she may ultimately realize Victor’s angle and blame him along with Audra for carrying it out.
Even so, there’s the potential for some relationship drama if Claire doesn’t reach that conclusion right away.
Claire might hesitate on believing Kyle’s innocence long enough for Summer to make her move.
Could Kyle hit the sheets with Summer – only to realize Claire’s seen the light and now understands Audra was plotting against them for Victor?
It’s also possible Summer could cause problems later if Claire decides to forgive Victor for his romantic sabotage.
Kyle may assume Claire will cut ties with Victor permanently and end up angry when she doesn’t.
If Claire and Kyle fight over her giving Victor another chance, that could present another opportunity for Summer to pounce on her ex.
Summer is clearly stuck on Kyle and will become increasingly determined to fight for a reunion in the coming episodes.
Bottom line, Audra may not be the one to break up Kyle and Claire when the time comes.
It may be Summer who swoops in and delivers the final blow that ends Claire’s relationship with Kyle.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Victor could still get the Kyle and Claire split news he wants, but will it be Summer who actually pulls it off?
