The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, March 27, reveals that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will trigger Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) panic attack while Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) shares her theory that Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) survived the balcony fall, not Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins).
At the GCAC, Diane will approach Phyllis and insist she was sorry to hear about all the kidnapping chaos.
Phyllis will refuse to believe Diane genuinely cares, so they’ll end up bickering at Phyllis’ table.
After Phyllis apologizes for lashing out, she’ll suggest she’s trying to work on her vendetta issues.
Diane will make a comment about Phyllis’ experiment and mention being a lab rat, so that’ll send Phyllis flying into a rage.
Phyllis will eventually settle down and explain why it reminded her of her time in captivity, so Diane will apologize for triggering her.
However, Phyllis will get emotional and push Diane to just go away since she needs things to be quiet right now.
On Diane’s way out, she’ll bump into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and send him over to Phyllis’ table since she clearly needs help.
Billy will see that Phyllis appears to be having a panic attack, so he’ll take her to the park for some fresh air.
Phyllis will want a distraction, so Billy will discuss Abbott Communications with her on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
That’ll lead to Billy’s admission that he’s been in touch with Aristotle Dumas, who is the key to Chancellor.
Billy will offer updates on the plan to reacquire Chancellor while keeping his hands clean and letting Aristotle handle the Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) mess. Phyllis will be floored over Billy’s confession and ask if he’s out of his mind!
At home, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will debate whether they should tell Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) that they’re back together.
There’ll be some concerns about how Connor will react due to his OCD.
However, Chelsea and Adam will ultimately sit Connor down for an honest conversation.
Once Connor finds out Adam and Chelsea have reunited, he’ll gush over being a real family again and will obviously be tickled pink.
At Crimson Lights, Traci will tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about her discussion with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and the bad feeling that’s getting worse regarding the alerts on “Alan’s” phone.
Traci will make a connection between the gas that was pumped in the clinic and the gas expulsion notification “Alan” received.
“Alan” was receiving these clinic security alerts while Sharon and Phyllis were suffering through a psychological experiment at Havenhurst.
Traci won’t think she can ignore the clues that are piling up, especially since “Alan” proposed out of the blue and suddenly wanted to leave the country.
All this will leave Traci with the horrifying fear that Martin was the twin who survived the balcony fall and that he’s been posing as Alan this whole time.
Jack will struggle to believe Traci’s theory at first, but he’ll eventually come around to her way of thinking and will want to give Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) the latest news.
Jack will also insist that Traci isn’t going to France and will refuse to let her be alone with “Alan” until they figure some things out.
Traci will realize she’s going to lose the person she loves if she’s right and even if she’s wrong since Alan would never forgive her.
Jack will admit he doesn’t think Traci’s wrong, so she’ll accept his comforting embrace.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Traci’s predictions regarding Martin will be proven right, so stay tuned for all the chaos that’s still to come.
