Margaret Josephs may have often feuded with Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star Teresa Giudice, but she would still offer her advice. And when it comes to Teresa and her husband, Luis Ruelas’, financial issues, it feels like they should be taking all the advice they can get.
In a recent phone interview with Chicago’s WGN-9 News, Teresa notably bailed when asked about the recent lax liens leveraged on she and her husband. Margaret would have advised a different response. And she shared her thoughts at an event.

“I think everybody’s used to unfortunate things, and no one wants anything bad. Regardless of how anybody feels about her, no one wants to see a sinking ship,” Margaret exclusively told the DailyMail about the $3 million New Jersey state lax lien.

She continued, “I feel sorry for her, truthfully. No one wants that, and I hope she gets out of it. Truthfully, it’s an unfortunate circumstance for that to happen [to] her again.”
Allegedly, Teresa has paid off a $303,889 tax lien in full to date. Luis was slapped with one in December 2024 totaling $163,523. That has also been resolved. A lien filed in March 2025 against Luis specifically remains. He still owes a whopping $2,569,842.
“I mean, it sucks … I mean, what am I going to say? It sucks. I wish she would’ve made better choices in her partner in life, but I feel bad,” Margaret said, before adding, “I don’t want anything bad for her. I never did.”
Margaret often expressed concern about Luis. But her RHONJ veteran co-star was not receptive to the commentary. Asked now if she thinks Luis had a positive impact on Teresa, Margaret stated, “Obviously not!” However, she hopes Luis “helps get out of everything.”
The entrepreneur added, “I really don’t even think about them truthfully until someone asks me. I try not to.”
As for the disastrous phone interview, Margaret suggested that Teresa “should have answered” the question. She concluded, “I would love to have taught her crisis PR because I’m really good at it.”
