Here are a few key rookies to watch out for.

Brennan Othmann:

Brennan Othmann is a player who has a legitimate chance at cracking the Rangers’ opening night roster.

The 2021 first round pick is a dynamic offensive talent who continues to prove himself at every level.

This past season Othmann recorded 21 goals, 28 assists and 49 points in 67 games with the Hartford Wolf pack of the AHL.

The 21-year-old is New York’s most hyped up prospect going into rookie camp and he has an opportunity to make a big statement if he performs at a high level.

Adam Sýkora:

The Rangers selected Adam Sýkora with the 66th overall pick in 2022.

After showing off his potential in Slovakia for a number of years, Sýkora played his first full season with the Hartford Wolf pack. He tallied eight goals, 15 assists and 23 points in 66 games.

The 20-year-old forward is a player who could really impress some people with his speed and high offensive motor.

"Sykora is a speedy winger with a solid offensive toolkit who plays at a high pace, utilizing his great footwork and speed,” Eetu Siltanen of Dobber Prospects wrote. “At the transition, he can carry the puck to the offensive zone.”

Adam Edstrom:

Adam Edström remains a player of intrigue for the Rangers.

New York took Edström in the sixth round back in 2019 and he’s slowly climbed up the depth chart of New York’s prospects.

The 23-year-old even played 11 games for the Rangers last season and he scored two goals through his short NHL stint.

Standing at 6’7’’, Edström has a tremendous amount of potential if he can use his size to his advantage.

He’s looking to play more than just 11 games for New York this upcoming season, and rookie camp is a perfect opportunity for Edström to show what he is capable of.
