There have been several love stories that began on “Dancing With the Stars,” but the relationship between Britt Stewart and actor Daniel Durant is a fan favorite. The pair met during Season 31 when they were partnered, and although they didn’t win (they placed fifth), they got something even better than a Mirrorball Trophy: a beautiful love story.

The couple is currently engaged and shared their happy news in December 2023 with an Instagram post. And now, Stewart has given fans another update about her engagement.

On July 24, Stewart gave fans an update about her relationship with Durant when she posted several engagement photos on Instagram. In the caption, she shared her thoughts and also thanked those involved in helping her with her wedding planning.

In December 2023, they gave a joint interview to People about their relationship. “It’s funny, I remember us meeting. I remember us as teammates. I remember us as best friends, and then I remember us together. And now it feels like we’ve just been together for forever,” Stewart said.

“Looking at the wedding, we want people who know about our lives who can witness and celebrate with us and share the love that we have for everyone,” Durant added. “It’s about celebrating together so that’s what I think our wedding will be.”

Their first dance at their upcoming wedding will likely be beautiful and an expression of love. Dance is still a shared passion for the couple.

“We still like to dance together. We got very lucky because he was able to come on the Dancing With the Stars Tour this winter. And spent two weeks with us. So that helped the transition from dancing together all the time to not,” Stewart told Us Weekly in August 2023. “And then I … surprised him with a surprise tango date, which was so much fun. He absolutely loved it. And then every once in a while, his favorite dance is [the] cha cha so he’ll, like, grab me in the kitchen or I’ll grab him in the kitchen and we’ll do a [bit of the cha cha] together.”
