Many Bravo shows have come and gone, but one that fans still long for is The Real Housewives of Dallas. Recently, former cast member Dr. Tiffany Moon sat down for an interview and discussed the show, if she’d do a reboot, and why the network ultimately dropped the proverbial ax on the series.
Season one of RHOD premiered on Bravo in 2016. Though it was never one of the highest-rated shows in the Housewives franchise, it had a decently dedicated audience. Despite this, Bravo decided to cancel it in 2021 after five seasons. Notably, they did test shoots for a sixth installment, but they ended up scrapping plans to do that season. In more recent years, the reboot of Real Housewives of Miami has given fans hope that the show could come back.
Recently, Tiffany, 40, sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight‘s Brice Sander. During the interview, he asked the social media content creator and anesthesiologist if she would do a reboot of RHOD. She said, “If you had asked me that in 2021 or 2020, I would have been like ‘Hell no.'”
The former reality star then revealed her caveat for returning, saying, “But enough time has passed, and I think I’ve grown. I think I would be warm to doing the show again on the condition that most of the women I filmed with were not on there.”
Regarding who she would film with, Tiffany said, “Oh yeah, like I mean D’Andra for sure, maybe one or two others.” Brice then noted that Tiffany only said one name from the cast, and she replied, “Correct, she’s the only one I had anything nice to say, and mama told me if I didn’t have anything nice to say, I shouldn’t say it, so the other names were not included.”
They then got into why Bravo decided not to renew the show. When asked if she ever got an official answer as to why, she said, “I don’t know why. I didn’t ask why. Sometimes in life, you wonder why, and it’s like it’s not worth asking. They’re not going to tell you the reason anyway.”
She continued, “I think the potential season six cast wasn’t melding just right.”
Brice then asked for clarification about whether they filmed test footage for a sixth season, and Tiffany said, “We did with three new potential Housewives, two of whom I knew fairly well. One of whom I consider a close friend, but I don’t know how that footage looked. I don’t know how the producers felt about it. Maybe they didn’t see the spark. I have no idea.”
Tiffany then mentioned how she often sees people online campaigning for a Married to Medicine Dallas show. “I think Married to Medicine would be great because it’s a little bit of what I do in my work and then what I do outside of work,” she said. “I could create the cast for Married to Medicine Dallas in 10 minutes. Just give me my phone, and I’ll text some people.”
Toward the end of the interview, Tiffany also revealed that she’s started a new podcast with Dr. Nicole Martin from RHOM called From Scrubs to Stilettos. She said it will encompass lifestyle topics, fashion, medicine, and motherhood. She also has a new book coming out on May 6 called Joy Prescriptions: How I Learned to Stop Chasing Perfection and Embrace Connection.
