Todd and Julie Chrisley Address Divorce Rumors Following Receiving Their Release From Prison

Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley have been on a press tour of sorts after they received a presidential pardon. Recently, there have been several reports about the status of their marriage, and some have speculated that the couple is headed to divorce court. Now, they’re responding to the claims.

Fans of Chrisley Knows Best will recall that Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were sentenced in 2022 for federal tax evasion and bank fraud. Todd was supposed to serve 12 years in prison, and Julie was handed a seven-year sentence. However, their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, 27, campaigned for their release and even spoke at the Republican National Convention. This all led to them receiving a pardon in May 2025.

According to US Weekly, Todd and Julie were recently guests on their daughter’s podcast, Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley. While on the platform, Julie said, “Let me set the record straight. We are not getting divorced.” She went on to say that they are currently getting back into the groove of their everyday lives following their prison stints.

Todd then said, “In my mind, I was never away from her, and I would tell her in the emails every day. I said, ‘I’m with you every step you take and feel my love surrounding you at all times.’ When I went to bed at night, she was right there with me. When I woke up and I did my prayers, she was right there with me.”

Julie echoed similar sentiments, saying, “I don’t think there was anything in my mind that we were separate or we were ever going to be separated. It allowed us to come back together.”

From there, they reflected on their first night together. According to Todd, “The first night together, I was so grateful just to get in the bed with her, and I think you said it best. There was no awkwardness. There was no, ‘What are we supposed to be doing?'”

Julie added, “We just fell back into our routine.” Now, there is a Lifetime docu-series in the works. Additionally, Todd has been vocal about his support for prison reform as well as maintaining that he was convicted of something he didn’t do.
