Tom Schwartz was pretty impressed with Lala Kent’s new family home.
On Wednesday, July 3, the Vanderpump Rules cast member took a trip to the San Fernando Valley to see his castmate’s $3 million pad for the very first time. Lala confirmed she purchased the stunning abode back in February, after renting in the Los Angeles area for the past several years. Since then, the expectant mother has shared multiple looks at the home’s interior and exterior, including a next-level backyard amenity that left Tom in disbelief.
“Lala, you didn’t tell me you had a f-cking basketball court!” Tom said in an Instagram video of Lala’s brief home tour. “Oh my god! This is so sick!”
Lala Kent reveals Tom Schwartz's housewarming gift: "I love her"
After taking Tom through her new digs, Lala asked fans to guess Tom’s housewarming gift. The former SUR host was quickly bombarded with the same reply: a plant.
“When I tell you every response looks like this… I mean EVERYONE ONE,” she captioned a screenshot of the dozens of responses.
Well, it seems Tom is quite predictable, as he blessed Lala with some indoor greenery.
“He gave me… a money tree!” Lala captioned a photo of the plant. “Thank you, Schwartzy! I love her.”
Tom Schwartz shares an update on his living situation
The tour occurred just months after Tom dropped some big news about his living situation. The Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner revealed he was looking to ditch his Los Angeles apartment and “downsize” while he built a family home in Florida. He shared the information during the May 16 episode of Balancing Act, hosted by The Valley’s Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick.
“I’m thinking about downsizing slightly, maybe a cool little loft,” he said. “First of all, I’ve always wanted to live in a loft, a cool artist loft. I found a really cool one in the Valley. I was thinking about possibly downsizing while I build my house in Florida, just to cut costs a little bit.”
Will Tom Schwartz move in with Tom Sandoval?
The news effectively squashed any hope of Tom moving in with his good friend/castmate Tom Sandoval, who proposed they live together in Vanderpump Rules Season 11.
“The optics of me moving in with Sandoval are not good for my personal growth and everything,” Tom Schwartz continued. “I also don’t mind helping my friend out because I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen with the house, but I know his mortgage is going to be a lot more should he get to keep the house… As much as we love each other, and we’ve had very healthy conversations about this, [I’m] like, ‘Dude, I don’t really want to live with you.’”
