Vanderpump Rules' Tom Schwartz has some exciting things coming up after the closing of his bar, Schwartz & Sandy's, and the Season 12 cast shakeup.
Tom Schwartz is looking to the future after the Vanderpump Rules Season 12 cast shake-up and closing of his bar, Schwartz & Sandy's. After the Los Angeles bar closed in late December, Tom is focusing on new projects, like his upcoming podcast.
Tom appeared on the LadyGang podcast on Jan. 28, where he teased what's to come from his podcast, tentatively titled Detox/Retox. Although he has not yet announced when it is launching, he revealed that it will focus on the "new era" of Tom. "It's about balance, about the yin and yang of life," he explained. "It's about the detox and the retox."
He continued, noting that weekly episodes will feature interviews with experts in their field. "One week, we'll have guests on and we'll nourish the mind, body, and soul, you know what I mean? Maybe some hot yoga, some Bikram, some transcendental meditation," he said about the project set to launch on PodcastOne. "I'm not an expert in anything. I'll be learning with the audience. And the next week, you know, we're keeping it together so maybe we can fall apart a little bit, have a cheat day, indulge a little bit, you know?"
In an interview with People in November, he also revealed that he would like to continue to work in the entertainment industry. "I'd also like to get behind the camera and produce some shows," he said.

Tom Schwartz opens up about his "not so good habits"
This podcast will also work as a way to help Tom reconnect to himself, he explained on LadyGang, after engaging in some bad behaviors. "The undertone is kind of the reeducation of Tom Schwartz," he noted. "I kind of feel after doing 12 years of reality TV, my brain's kind of mush. And I went to college. I feel like I got a really good education, but I just felt like my brain is kind of mush lately."
This "mush"-like feeling, he explained, is "a result of some not-so-good habits." "Maybe drinking a little too much, being in the bar and restaurant industry, [and] not reading as much as I used to," he added.
Is Tom Schwartz in therapy?
He is not in therapy, at the moment. But that doesn't mean that he isn't looking to get back into therapy sometime soon. "I've been to therapy and I've actually been in the market for a new therapist," he explained, noting that he has gotten into painting "recently." "I've been mindful and I've been nourishing the mind, body, and soul. I'm in the market for a new therapist."
