The wait is over, General Hospital fans, Dr. O is back and so is ‘The Britch!’ Well, is she Britt? Is she a long-lost twin? A doppleganger? One thing is for sure: both of them are going to send Lulu over the top, and I, for one, can’t wait. Let’s discuss!
Lulu’s Going to Lose It, But Who Will Feel Her Wrath?
Rocco connecting with Obrecht to learn about Britt is not going to go over well with Lulu, who already made it clear to Jason that he is not to talk to her son about his supposedly-dead lover. Then there was her talk with Dante, and anger over the fact that he believed Brook Lynn didn’t set out to hurt Rocco. Lulu and Dante’s interaction did not go over well with viewers!
After Lulu suggested Dante tell Gio to direct all his anger at Brook Lynn to score points with him, MzZee posted in our recaps, “What an awful, awful person. Lulu getting off with what she did [exposing the truth about Gio] and still acting like a first-class b*tch about it is insane.” So this begs the question: Will she blame Brook Lynn for Rocco reaching out to Obrecht? My guess is, yes!
However, her real focus will likely be on Britt’s, or whoever this woman is, when she shows up. Frankly, I’m ready for a break from Lulu blaming all the evils of the world on Brook Lynn. Britt’s return will really send her over the top, and it will be delicious! Here is hoping Rocco sees a new side of his mother, along with his brother, Gio.
Sadly, we didn’t get many answers as to who the woman who looks like Britt is in Friday’s episode. But between all the talk of her, Obrecht’s return, and Sasha pushing Jason to find someone to spend his life with, it just has to be Britt.
Other Storyline Ponderings
Sadly, Sasha really is out for now, which is a shame as she and the new Michael had great chemistry. Robert’s return was a nice surprise, but it was Danny’s goodbye to Sasha and Daisy that brought tears to my eyes.
Tracy’s working my last nerve lately. I was so glad Nina came clean with Sonny about her blackmail. The chemistry between them is still there, so here is hoping we may see a reunion for them soon!
Drew and Willow’s wedding begins next week, and fortunately, it looks like it’s about to go as well as any soap wedding often does. Curtis appears poised to betray Nina and reveal her affair with Drew, while Portia is finally ready to take back her power and throw herself on a sword to stop her blackmailer. Finally, a Portia I can get behind!
Then there is Obrecht, who had the line of the week, telling Nina, “Something is seriously wrong with your daughter!” Everyone in town is ready to blow up this wedding, and given Willow’s mental state and that evil smile of hers when she heard about Sasha leaving town with Daisy, we can only hope she’ll lose it and stab Drew at the altar with a wedding cake knife!
OSusanna posted in our recaps, “This storyline is long past its expiration date. It’s not suspenseful or captivating. Viewers are annoyed and need Drew to go down.” OGJaSamfangurl added that watching Drew get away with everything is “like Peter on steroids.” So that makes Drew… wait for it… a POS? Our own Charlie Mason came up with that acronym!
Finally, after Dalton’s little temper tantrum at the pool over Danny and Rocco’s poor job performance, I read a comment on the interwebs calling him “Port Charles’ very own Karen,” and I can’t stop calling him that. And while this storyline isn’t winning over any fans, the fact that there is a boss above Dalton and Sidwell did intrigue me. Who could it be? Is that why Britt is back?
That’s it for my thoughts and opinions. As always, leave yours in the comments!
