Travis Kelce, who has been dating Taylor Swift for nearly a year, discussed wedding planning in his latest New Heights ad.
On the Wednesday, June 19, episode his New Heights podcast — which Travis cohosts with his brother, Jason Kelce — the Kansas City Chiefs tight end made some telling comments while promoting online wedding planner Zola.
The ad, which also featured commentary from Jason and New Heights employee Jets Jake, centered around Jake's upcoming wedding — and Travis and Jason had plenty to say.
"[Zola] knows that the pressure of planning a perfect wedding can be stressful," Jason, who has been married to wife Kylie Kelce since 2018, began. "Ain't that the truth."
"No one currently understands that pressure better than our very own Jets Jake," Travis shared.
Jake — whose upcoming wedding is only one month away — admitted that his "fiancee is handling the whole thing." Travis, for his part, was totally here for it.
"I'm proud of you. Because you don't matter, Jake," the three-time Super Bowl champion quipped. "You don't matter and none of your decisions should be made by you."
"This is the truth," Jake agreed.
While Jason noted Jake should have "opinions on some of it," Travis interjected that any of the groom's input should be "reassuring."
"Just keep asking her what she wants," he said.
Though fans were not only thrilled to hear Travis talking about wedding planning — they also loved his "grooms don't matter" perspective — it doesn't look like the NFL star will be walking down the aisle with Swift in the near future.
"Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon. It's not even on his radar," a source told Us Weekly in May. "Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration."
Of course, Travis "cares very deeply" about Swift, the insider noted, "he's just not there yet."
Travis and the 14-time Grammy winner, who have been dating since summer 2023, are busy enjoying their time together as a couple. The Chiefs star has joined Swift on multiple legs of her Eras Tour and recently jetted off to Lake Como during a break from her shows. Swift, for her part, has famously been attending Chiefs games since last year — all culminating at the 2024 Super Bowl in February, where the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers with the "Fortnight" singer in attendance.
