Trump Appoints Former ‘Real Housewives’ Star To Holocaust Museum Board

A former Real Housewife whose tagline was “some people think I’m too much, they’re absolutely right” is officially a board member of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council.

In a post on his Truth Social site Monday, President Donald Trump announced five appointees to the board, and one was “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 7 and 8 alum Sigalit “Siggy” Flicker. The Israeli-born former matchmaker is a member of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and has a connection to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

“They are all strong supporters of Israel, and will ensure we, NEVER FORGET,” Trump wrote in his announcement.

“President Trump… Thank you for the privilege & honor to represent and NEVER FORGET!” Flicker wrote on Instagram in response to Trump’s announcement.

Trump’s five appointees, along with other previously announced members, will replace those appointed by President Joe Biden, who were fired by Trump on April 29. The abrupt removal of Biden’s appointees — who were nixed before their terms expired, with most being on the board for just weeks, per The Washington Post — is a move that critics say introduces politics into a vital institution that until now has remained nonpartisan.

“At a time of rising antisemitism and Holocaust denial and distortion, we should be uniting to preserve historical truth,” the Anti-Defamation League said in a statement last week. “The Holocaust Museum is not just a monument to the past, it is a warning to the present. We must ensure it remains nonpartisan and committed to its core mission of ensuring that Never Again stands true.”

Flicker is anything but nonpartisan.

Her stepson, Tyler Campanella, was arrested in April 2024 and charged with five misdemeanors in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection, which Flicker appeared to support, according to court documents obtained by NBC News.

According to an FBI affidavit, the former reality TV star posted photos that Campanella shot from inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 to social media, along with the caption: “I love patriots so much. Stay safe Tyler. We love you.” Her post also included praying hands, hearts and American flag emojis and the “Stop the Steal” hashtag, according to an image of the post included in the FBI affidavit and published by NBC News.

Campanella pleaded not guilty to the charges last year, and the case was dismissed when Trump pardoned Jan. 6 rioters.

Flicker also told The Washington Post in 2024 that she goes to Mar-a-Lago three or four times a week in order to escape “jihadis” and “criminals” and be in a place that resembles “what America used to be.”
