Urho Vaakanainen will be out for the New York Rangers’ Wednesday night game against the Boston Bruins due to an Illness.
The Rangers announced Vaakanainen’s absence less than an hour before the game was set to start.
With Vaakanainen out, Zac Jones will be inserted into the lineup for the first time since Dec. 23.
In 22 games with the Rangers, Vaakanainen has recorded five assists while averaging 15:25 minutes.
Vaakanainen was also recently added to Team Finland for the 4 Nations Face-off.
