Vanderpump Rules' Scheana Shay Shares Truth About Her "Sleepover" With Ryan Phillippe

Vanderpump Rules' Scheana Shay said she was friends with Ryan Phillippe during her 20s, revealing that the two once had a "sleepover" but "did not hook up."

Scheana Shay has no cruel intentions toward Ryan Phillippe.

In fact, the Vanderpump Rules star considered the I Know What You Did Last Summer alum to be a friend when she was in her early 20s. According to Scheana, her roommate at the time was dating Jesse Bradford, who she said was in a "boys group" with Ryan and Breckin Meyer.

"Every Thursday, they would do a boy's dinner and then go out to the club," she explained on the Dec. 13 episode of her Scheananigans podcast. "And so, we were like, 'Well, we're just gonna do a girl's dinner since we were only invited to the club.'"

This led to Scheana and her gal pal becoming regulars at the famed Los Angeles restaurant Dan Tanas, where she would "literally have one glass of wine and split a pasta" since she "could not afford the full entrée" at the time.

"It was iconic," Sheana, now 39, quipped. "Sometimes, I'm surprised at how much I remember from those years because I feel like there's also years of my life where I have no memories."

However, she does remember spending time with Ryan, who she said was "single during the times that we were all hanging out." (From 1999 to 2008, the Cruel Intentions actor was married to Reese Witherspoon, with whom he shares kids Ava Phillippe, 25, and Deacon Phillippe, 21.)

"There was a sleepover, but we did not hook up," Scheana shared. "No, we were just friends."

E! News has reached out to Ryan's rep for comment but hasn't heard back.

Since then, the Bravo star has found love with husband Brock Davies. She and the ruby player welcomed daughter Summer Moon Honey Davies in April 2021, before tying the knot in Mexico a year later.

But years before settling down with Brock, Scheana was romantically linked to Eddie Cibrian. Back in 2013, Vanderpump Rules premiered with former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville accusing Scheana of having an affair with him.

The two women appeared to bury the hatchet in recent years, with Scheana saying that she had no idea Eddie was married while they were together.

"I didn't Google anyone," she explained during Vanderpump Rules After Show earlier this year. "I didn't know what IMDb was. I didn't even know who he was—he was an actor in L.A. who was cute with dimples."
