Bronwyn Newport’s husband Todd said she “ruined” the afternoon of their cast trip to Palm Springs with her fight with Lisa Barlow. The 65-year-old also called Bronwyn’s behavior “ridiculous,” and he advised her next time to “leave” with her “dignity” as Bronwyn shed tears.
During the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City trip, which honored Bronwyn and Todd’s anniversary, the newbie called out Lisa for seemingly demanding loyalty from her without giving it back. Their argument broke out while the wives were in the hot tub and the husbands listened in the pool.
Later on, Todd requested that Lisa and her husband John Barlow leave the house if Lisa wanted to keep fighting. And at a group dinner scene, Todd seemed to shut Bronwyn down when she discussed her daughter’s strained relationship with her grandparents.
In a preview for the upcoming episode, Bronwyn and Todd addressed the awkward cast trip.
“The 10 years we’ve been together, I’ve never seen you act the way you acted this weekend,” said Todd, via @queensofbravo on Instagram. “I know we’ve known Lisa and John for a long time, but for you to sit in the hot tub and scream back and forth with her is ridiculous.”
“You thought I was screaming?” Bronwyn asked.
“I was there. I was in the pool, remember?” he said. “What’d you accomplish? Nothing. You ruined a perfectly nice afternoon … Frankly, it’s not very becoming for you.”
He then took a bite of whatever they were eating.
“You don’t see why it goes that way?” she asked in tears. “They all yell. They all call each other dumb b**ches. They scream and yell, and I don’t know how to interact in that scenario.”
“Leave,” said Todd with his arms crossed. “Leave with your dignity.”
In a tearful confessional, Bronwyn shared that “Todd’s approval” means “everything.”
“So to not only be missing the mark but be like on a totally different page from the mark, this is incredibly hard for me to hear,” she explained.
