Love filled every corner of the arena, and the stage at Katy Perry’s Lifetimes Tour stop in New York City. Perry’s concert created a magical night that left both the couple and the crowd beaming.
The “American Idol” judge turned Madison Square Garden into the backdrop for a moment the crowd will never forget. During her 11th August performance, Perry invited fans on stage to sing “The One That Got Away,” but for one couple, the night held an even bigger surprise.
Katy Perry Joins Sweet On-Stage Proposal at Madison Square Garden
A fan proposed onstage during Katy Perry’s ‘Lifetimes’ tour.
Jason Ve asked if his boyfriend of 11 years, Arthur Woods, could join them on stage. As Woods made his way up, Ve and Perry sang snippets of “Unconditionally,” “Teenage Dream,” and “Lifetimes.” Wearing matching leopard print outfits, Ve got down on one knee and asked, “Will you spend the rest of eternity with me?” Woods said yes as the crowd cheered for the couple.
Perry, visibly moved, hugged the couple and posed for photos before continuing her performance.

When Perry Paused Detroit Concert to Help A Young Fan
Katy Perry paused her show in Detroit to help a fan who fainted onstage.
Earlier in Detroit, Perry showed her compassionate side when a young fan collapsed on stage. While performing “The One That Got Away” at Little Caesars Arena, she had invited four children to join her, each holding a shaker.
Mid-song, a girl named McKenna fainted in front of the 13,000-person crowd. After McKenna was safely escorted off stage, Perry comforted the remaining children with hugs and led the audience in a prayer.
“Dear God, we pray for McKenna, that she will come back fully and brighter and better than ever. Amen,” Perry said, before reassuring the audience, “Sometimes you’re so brave and you can get on stage, and it’s overwhelming. I understand that feeling.”
Perry’s Recent Split From Orlando Bloom

The concerts come weeks after Perry confirmed her split from Orlando Bloom following a six-year engagement. The former couple, who share 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, issued a joint statement on July 3 emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect,” the statement read.
