VIDEO: RHOBH’s Teddi Mellencamp Shares Video of Attempted Robbery at Her Encino House While She Was Home With Kids and Husband

Teddi Mellencamp and her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, offered a joint statement to their fans and followers on Instagram after an attempted burglary at their $6.49 million Encino home on Monday night.

Along with security footage taken of the suspects at her property, which the 44-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum owns with Edwin, 48, Teddi confirmed that “everyone was unharmed” as she admitted to being “shaken” by the ordeal. In addition, Edwin, the founder and CEO of Skyline Security, opened up about what inspired him to start the business.

“We are grateful that everyone is unharmed. While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems which scared off the intruders. Authorities were alerted and swiftly responded. We appreciate everyone’s heightened concern in light of recent criminal activities in our area, but we are safe,” read the couple’s statement.

On his own Instagram page, Edwin added, “The idea for Skyline Security came from the trauma of having a gun held to my head at 18. The ability to save lives and protect families is the genesis of what I do.”

In the security clips shared, which were taken just after 10:00 p.m. on July 21, three men dressed in black with gloves and a backpack were seen hopping over Teddi and Edwin’s gate and into their driveway before entering their backyard through a fence. Then, moments later, they were seen running back out the way they came in.

According to a report from TMZ, Teddi and Edwin’s home security system immediately alerted them to the intruders. And after the exes called the police, officers quickly responded to their residence.

As for the suspects, law enforcement sources revealed that the same people burglarized Teddi and Edwin’s neighbor’s home before attempting to get into theirs.

As RHOBH fans well know, Teddi filed for divorce from Edwin in November 2024 after 13 years of marriage and requested spousal support. Additionally, Teddi asked the court to block Edwin’s ability to collect from her.
