In a season filled with touchdowns and pressure, Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison took a timeout from the field to change lives off it — without any cameras or press.
Just days before Christmas, Mattison contacted a Minneapolis-area Target and asked for one simple thing:
“Give me every layawa
The total? Ov worpaid off in full by Mattison himself
The families had no idea — until they showed up to pay and were met with receipts marked “Paid — Happy Holidays from #2.”
One single mother cried as she told staff,
“I thought I’d have to choose between rent and toys. I can’t believe this is real.”
Mattison never announced the act. He only said,
“Minnesota gave me a home. I’m just trying to give something back — especially to the ones fighting quiet battles.”
