The New York Rangers biggest X-factor going into the 2024-25 season is none other than Vincent Trocheck.

Trocheck signed a seven-year, $39.375 million deal with the Rangers last offseason and has since made an immediate impact.

In his first season with the Rangers, the 31-year-old forward recorded 25 goals, 52 assists and 77 points while playing on a line with Alexis Lafrenière and Artemi Panarin, both of whom had their best statistical seasons.

It was in the playoffs though where Trocheck really shined. He was Mr. Clutch and honestly never seemed to have a bad game in the most critical part of the year.

Every single night in the playoffs, Trocheck came out with a ferocious energy that is the true embodiment of how postseason hockey should be played.

His hustle and hard work led to impressive statistical numbers as he tallied eight goals, 12 assists and a team leading 20 points in 16 playoff games.

Trocheck was by far New York’s most consistent player when it mattered most, so going into this season, it’s safe to say he’ll have to step up again if the Rangers want to make a deep run.

The veteran forward has it all when it comes to his offensive touch, leadership qualities and scrappy play on the ice.

While Trocheck isn’t the flashiest player, he is the kind of guy that opponents hate to play against but would kill to have on their team.

Alongside Lafrenière and Panarin, Trocheck should have another big year and pick up right where he left off last season.
