Every Bravo fan knows some of the most memorable moments happen when casts go on a group trip. When they leave their homes for vacation, there's always plenty of drama, including room assignment fights, unexpected hookups, awkward dinners, and more. And while we always see bonding and fun occur, too, it's the mishaps that we remember most.

Heather Gay's Black Eye
It was the injury that started a seasons-long mystery: What happened to Heather Gay's eye? On The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 3, Episode 12, Heather woke up with a black eye during the San Diego trip and refused to give a straight answer about what happened to her (until the end of Season 4, that is).
Gizelle Bryant's missing tequila
The word on the street is you don't mess with The Real Housewives of Potomac's Gizelle Bryant's tequila. On Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 3, Gizelle interrupted the Thailand trip to announce her bottle of Clase Azul tequila was missing, and tried to have a trial to uncover the culprit. Of course, the reality of what happened to the bottle was much shadier.
Jax Taylor gets arrested
Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor may have been temporarily dethroned as the number one guy in the group after he was arrested on the group trip to Hawaii in Season 4 for stealing a pair of sunglasses (which led everyone to wonder "how many shifts at SUR" it would take to cover his $11,000 bail). Hey, as he would tell Andy Cohen, he's a work in progress.
"Scary Island"
Fans still debate today what really happened on The Real Housewives of New York City Season 3 group trip to the Virgin Islands. Kelly Killoren Bensimon's odd behavior led her to clash with the others ("Go to sleep!") and made some of the 'Wives worry she wasn't doing OK — leading Kelly to declare, "I'm here by myself. I'm alone on 'Scary Island.'" Ultimately, Kelly had to leave the vacation early.
Shep Rose and Sienna Evans' breakup
Shep Rose arrived in the Bahamas excited to see his girlfriend Sienna's "perfect little freckled lips" — but Sienna, uh, didn't exactly have the same reaction. On the vacation, featured on Southern Charm Season 10, Shep repeatedly tried to spend time with Sienna, while Sienna avoided him or seemed blatantly disinterested until they finally broke up. All this, despite Shep's shark tooth necklace gift and his multiple "cringey" texts to Sienna.
Robyn Dixon misses the flight to her own trip
Robyn Dixon's habitual tardiness often annoyed the other women of The Real Housewives of Potomac, but even they were shocked in Season 4, when Robyn missed the flight to their Cayman Islands trip. The kicker? It was the trip she was hosting!
West Wilson's racetrack crash
Technically, every episode of Summer House features the group on vacation. During one memorable NASCAR-themed party in Season 8, there was an (almost) dramatic mishap: West Wilson was riding a bike on the inflatable race track, and Kyle Cooke jokingly pushed him in such a way he fell and his sunglasses cut his face. Luckily, the injury was minor — and it brought him closer to Ciara Miller, a nurse.
The Tres Amigas fall in a Mexico airport
The Tres Amigas may have fallen apart metaphorically several times, but one time it was a very literal fall. Shannon Storms Beador greeted Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson with matching hats and shots of tequila when they arrived at a Mexico airport in The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 13, but one mishap after another led to glasses breaking and Vicki and Shannon on the floor. Later, Tamra had her own dramatic fall in the living room and later hurt her ankle. That's one way to whoop it up.
Adriana de Moura embellishes her foot injury
Adriana de Moura was hurt during a Bahamas trip on The Real Housewives of Miami Season 5, after two of the other women fell on her foot. But Adriana's complaints about her injury (and her wheelchair) led some of the women to feel she was exaggerating the pain — and her comparison to Alexia Nepola's son's serious car accident led to major drama.
Merce's ashes rain on the ladies
Sutton Stracke wanted to honor a friend who had passed when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies visited Spain in Season 13. But when Sutton tried to toss his ashes into the ocean, they mostly flew back on the other women thanks to the wind. At least Merce was no longer in the purse, as Erika Jayne might say.
