Watch: Amba Tremain shares her Britain's Got Talent journey after dazzling the judges with her performance

Portsmouth singer Amba Tremain recently captivated audiences and judges alike during her audition on Britain's Got Talent Series 18. Performing a soulful rendition of "With a Little Help from My Friends," Amba received a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience. Judge Bruno Tonioli praised her song choice, stating, "I liked the song and I liked the song choice," while Amanda Holden added, "I loved how you sort of told the story and then you just went nuts at the end."

In an interview with The News, Portsmouth, Amba shared insights into her journey on the show. She revealed that her audition coincided with her birthday, leading to an impromptu rendition of "Happy Birthday" from the audience, making the experience even more memorable. Reflecting on her decision to audition, Amba mentioned that a friend's encouragement and the desire for a new challenge motivated her to participate. She expressed, "I felt like I'd reached a point in my life where I was really content with where I am musically and actually sometimes you feel like what's next, what's the next challenge."

Amba is no stranger to the spotlight, having previously appeared on shows like This Is My Moment in 2001 and I Can See Your Voice in 2021. Beyond her television appearances, she is deeply involved in the Portsmouth music scene, performing regularly and co-founding the Urban Vocal Group, a charity focused on encouraging young people to engage with music.
