Watch: Hanifin calls Golden Knights mistakes ‘correctable’

Defenseman Noah Hanifin scored the second goal. It wasn’t enough for the Vegas Golden Knights, however, as they lost 3-2 to the Montreal Canadiens at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday.

Hanifin responded without question when asked if the mistakes they made against the Canadiens were correctable.

“We have a veteran group in here, and the guys know it,” Hanifin said. “We know what to do to win, and tonight was just a slip for us, and it’s something we’ve got to get back to on Thursday.

Hanifin also mentioned that he’s building chemistry with fellow defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.

“I’m feeling really good playing with ‘Petro,’” he said. “He’s a great guy to play with and just a great leader.”

Hanifin added that there is a lot of hockey to be played. He, like the rest of the team, would like to continue its good run of form throughout the rest of the season and into the spring when games pick up intensity.

“We have a lot of hockey left to be played, and for me, it’s just trying to keep building my game,” Hanifin said. “As we get a little bit closer to the spring, I got to keep building my game.”
