Is Karen Huger done with The Real Housewives of Potomac? Apparently, she was a no-show for the Season 9 reunion. What happened?

As fans are well aware, the Grand Dame of Potomac crashed her Maserati in March 2024. Karen confessed to having “a couple of beers” before getting behind the wheel, and police cited her for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Fortunately, no one else was hurt. Though she claimed she would be vindicated at her trial, she was found guilty. When the police have you on video slurring your words and admitting that you’re “lit,” you’re pretty much done.
So where was Miss Karen and why wasn’t she in her usual spot next to Andy Cohen at the RHOP reunion?
Karen Huger is doing the best thing for her well-being
In the face of possible prison time, Karen decided to do the responsible thing and check herself into rehab. She’s scheduled for sentencing on January 29, and she could be facing as much as two years’ incarceration. In light of that, Mrs. Huger is taking her situation seriously.
Despite Karen’s absence from the reunion, Andy has called it the “best reunion” the show has ever had. In the above video, Wendy Osefo explains why it was “so good.”
“[Karen] wasn’t there, but she was there,” Wendy told the interviewer. “Her presence was definitely felt … It was so juicy.”
“There were so many twists and turns,” she added. “Things were revealed unexpectedly.”
“Maybe that’s when [Wicked superstar] Cynthia Erivo fell in love with you,” the interviewer said. “She gave you a shout-out. What was that like?”
“Oh, my gosh!” Wendy squealed. “I can literally, right now, just go to sleep and be okay for the rest of my life.”
Meanwhile, I sincerely hope Karen gets the help and the tools in rehab that she needs to lead a healthier lifestyle.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
