As the trip to France looms, the stakes are higher than ever—will Kyle and Audra’s plans backfire, or will Dumas be their ticket to success?
On Thursday, June 12, The Young and the Restless brought drama and intrigue as tensions mounted around Kyle’s trip to France, Audra’s risky plan, and the ever-present pull between family loyalties and ambition.
Kyle’s Reluctance to Go to France
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle (Michael Mealor) shared his concerns with Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) about the upcoming trip to France. The discussion centered around Audra’s (Zuleyka Silver) bold plan to create a perfume battle with Dumas.
While Jack was supportive of the idea, Diane remained hesitant, doubting Audra’s intentions and questioning the plan’s practicality, especially since Audra wasn’t even invited initially. Kyle explained that Audra managed to finagle an invite, but his reluctance to leave Jabot behind complicated matters.
Kyle initially decided not to go but later got permission from Claire (Hayley Erin) to join the event after confirming Cole’s (J. Eddie Peck) condition had stabilized.
As the conversation continued, Kyle’s parents debated Victor’s (Eric Braeden) potential motives for inviting them to the event. Diane worried that Audra would use her charm to manipulate Kyle, especially since their relationship with Claire was still fragile.
Jack agreed with Kyle’s decision to expose Dumas’ true intentions. Kyle reluctantly agreed, making it clear that he would go to France, but only to protect Jabot and his family.
Audra’s Bold Plan Hits a Snag
Meanwhile, at the GCAC, Audra shared her plans with Nate (Sean Dominic). She revealed that she was going to challenge Dumas to a perfume battle, which she hoped would go viral.
Nate was skeptical, concerned that Dumas might not be so easily manipulated. Audra brushed off his concerns, convinced that the eccentric businessman was just looking for attention.
Nate’s doubts grew as he speculated that Dumas might be working to take over Chancellor-Winters. Audra tried to convince him that everything was under control, even persuading him not to join her in France.
Chelsea’s Deal with Victor
Back at Crimson Lights, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) met with Victor to discuss his ongoing feud with Billy (Jason Thompson). Chelsea, frustrated with Victor’s attacks on Billy, proposed a deal—she would reveal the true identity of Dumas if Victor agreed to back off from Billy
Victor wasn’t easily swayed. He taunted Chelsea, suggesting she was still holding onto feelings for Billy. Chelsea didn’t back down and claimed that she was only looking out for Adam (Mark Grossman).
Victor then dropped a bombshell, revealing that he already knew who Dumas was and that Chelsea’s information was nothing new. Chelsea had hoped for leverage, but she was left with nothing.
Sharon and Mariah’s Heart-to-Heart
Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) tried to convince Sharon (Sharon Case) to join him on the trip to France. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) played a key role in helping her mom make the decision, pushing her to not put her life on hold for her troubles. Sharon eventually agreed to go, although she expressed concern about leaving Mariah behind.
