Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, July 17 saw Bill bringing his son home and Sheila wishing she did more. Miracles, mystery, and regret were center stage during this shady episode.
Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) were equally as worried about Liam (Scott Clifton) being taken from the hospital, but agreed Bill (Don Diamond) would provide him with the best care. That’s something at least. It didn’t stop them from wondering why and what was really going on. Finn decided to call his wife and tell her what was going on while Bridget made several calls trying to track down Dr. Buckingham.
Over at the office, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope (Annika Noelle) updated each other about what they knew so far. No updates on Liam yet from Finn but Hope shared that Sheila lost another toe. While Steffy wasn’t a big fan of the woman, she wasn’t sure how to react to Sheila doing all she could to keep her safe from Luna. Should she be grateful to her former tormentor?
More than that, though, the gals were worried sick about Liam. The poor man survived a shooting just to be facing his death, anyway. They wondered if it was time to start telling the girls and preparing them for the impending loss of their father. Their talk came to an abrupt end when Finn called to inform them Grace signed Liam out of the hospital and into Bill’s care. They were shocked, to say the least. They rushed right to the hospital to get the scoop on the drama.
High Risk, High Reward
All the while, Bill laid into Grace about Liam’s aftercare. Shouldn’t he be in a hospital? Grace reminded him they basically did something highly illegal and they couldn’t take any risks. Instead, she suggested Liam recover at the Spencer estate with a private medical team caring for him around the clock.
With the plan all squared away, Grace got down to the brass tax and asked Bill about the money. He assured her the transfer was complete mere seconds before the doc got another sketchy call. “It’s happening right now,” she griped into her cell before abruptly hanging up on the mystery caller. Seconds later, Liam, still unconscious, was wheeled into the room. Bill sat vigil at Liam’s beside while he and Grace waited for the results of the newest MRI to make sure the procedure was the wild success she claimed it would be.
Later, Bill had Liam all set up in the sprawling mansion with a private nurse at his beck and call. (So far, no MRI results, but Bill was hopeful). He stuck close to Liam and promised his son all would be well from now on. Or, at least as well as money can buy…and Bill definitely has mad cash to throw at any problem money can solve. Soon, Liam was mumbling and Bill decided it was time to call Steffy to explain what was going on. She put him on speaker phone for everyone in the room to hear that Grace’s experimental treatment may have saved his life.
Heartbreaking Grief
As for Sheila, she was back at Il Giardino getting the royal treatment from Deacon (Sean Kanan) and the staff. Despite the tea service and roses warming her heart, she was still broken up over losing Luna (Lisa Yamada). She couldn’t believe her granddaughter was gone. She was full of regret for not supporting Luna enough. Not giving her more. Deacon reminded her that Luna was a mess and there wasn’t much anyone could do to help a girl like her.
