Britain's Got Talent continues tonight as anther raft of acts, from singers and dancers to impressionists, comedians, contortionists and more, give it their all in a bid to secure a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

The show is currently in the audition stages, which sees each act attempt to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli in the hope of securing a spot in the live semi-finals.

The live shows will begin on Saturday 26th April and run for five weeks, rather than being stripped across one week, ahead of the live final on Saturday 31st May.

Acts who have so far given a good account of themselves, securing the Golden Buzzer, include 14-year-old Maya Giotea, who sang a stunning rendition of Beyonce's Listen, and Linda Mudzenda, a child support worker who sang Lauren Daigle's You Say.

Other Golden Buzzer acts include dance troupe The Blackouts, band Electric Umbrella and guitarist Olly Pearson, who is just 11 years old.

And as ever, there have also been quite a few duds, but we salute them for giving it a go, nonetheless.

The release schedule has already been shaken up due to the Six Nations Rugby last month and if you're a longtime fan, you'll have noticed the lack of Sunday episodes.

Britain's Got Talent will air on ITV and ITVX every Saturday evening – unless there are any schedule changes.

The Saturday night format is a change from previous years, with the show usually airing on Saturdays and Sundays – and the changes don't stop there!

The live semi-finals will now air weekly, rather than it being stripped across a week in May.

Lily Wilson, the Commissioning Editor for Entertainment at ITV, said of the format shake-up: "We want to hit that family audience. Starting in February means we can build excitement over a longer period while making the live semi-finals a much bigger event."
