Amanda Holden has caused a stir for her dress choices on numerous occasions as the ITV star continues to turn heads on Britain's Got Talent.

The 54-year-old is known for her bold outfit choices, which have sparked multiple Ofcom complaints from ITV viewers.

One revealing gown which attracted 633 calls to the regulator.

In June 2017, Amanda donned a plunging see-through frock designed by Julien Macdonald which led to the £11,250 dress sparking 633 Ofcom complaints.

Viewers labelled the look "unsuitable," while another tweeted at the time: "So Amanda is effectively topless on Britain's Got Talent", leading to Amanda joking that the uproar was a "national crisis."

She explained: "That dress was hysterical – it was Julien Macdonald. I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I'm from a small-chest family, plus you know I'm 48 years old.

"It's all quite laughable, but it's all everyone seems to talk about. It's been called another national crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up."

Despite the infamous record, the mum-of-two said BGT is the perfect show to "take risks" and said she hates the phrase "dressing for your age."

Amanda said: "Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age.

"It’s all about body positivity and feeling good." Amanda also insisted that her mum Judith Harrison told her that she "looked better than girls half her age".

It wasn't the last time Amanda's outfits ignited Ofcom complaints, as back in 2020 they received 235 for wearing a low-cut navy blue gown.

She said: "There's no way I'd step out in my pyjamas or rock up without a lash. To preserve my own sense of dignity, I always try to look good."

That same year the ITV star led Ofcom to receiving another 136 complaints when she wore a black and burgundy Suzanne Neville gown
