These nations consist of Canada, the United States, Sweden, and Finland, with the round-robin tournament taking place in Montreal and Boston. These four countries embody the hockey spirit, producing quality talent and creating iconic moments.
Take the "Miracle on Ice" as a perfect example. The United States Olympic hockey team was a massive underdog heading into the medal round game against the USSR. With the Soviet Union leading, 3-2, after the second period, the Americans needed a jolt. That's when head coach Herb Brooks told the team if they lost, they would take it to their graves.
After that speech, the United States scored two third-period goals and sparked one of the biggest upsets in sports history. It was also an iconic moment in a young Al Michaels, with him saying the following quote:

It became a motif in the Americana lexicon, as the United States endured a late Soviet barrage to defeat Goliath. It's fitting on Independence Day to celebrate such a moment, especially at the height of the Cold War.
That takes us to the 4 Nations Face-Off, which already has some notable names participating. That includes Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights, who will represent the United States in the newest event. So when is the spectacle going down?

Jack Eichel won't be the only player representing his respective nation (or the Vegas Golden Knights), though.
Connor McDavid will represent Canada in the upcoming tournament, bringing star power to America's northern neighbors. Hart Trophy winner, Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby will join the reigning Conn Smythe winner. As for Eichel, he's the only Golden Knights member initially announced for the roster. Will William Karlsson join the Swedes or Mark Stone and/or Shea Theodore with the Canadians? Stay tuned.
Still, that should incentivize Vegas hockey fans to tune in. The Golden Knights superstar has become one of the most recognizable names in the NHL. He'll draw plenty of eyeballs to the tournament, especially hardcore American hockey fans. It's enough to make one break into a patriotic song and dance... sort of.
