Paige DeSorbo's ex-boyfriend has been up to a lot since their 2020 breakup. Get all of the details.
It's been nearly five years since Summer House's Paige DeSorbo and her ex-boyfriend, Perry Rahbar, broke up for good in October 2020. And a lot has happened for the both of them during that time — they've entered relationships, grown their businesses, and have since experienced some major milestones.
Perry got engaged to a woman named Chloe in 2023. The founder and CEO of a data intelligence platform took to Instagram on April 25, 2023, where he posted a photo of him getting down on one knee at Queen Mary's Rose Garden in London, England, asking his now-fiancée to marry him. The couple took the sweetest photos together after the proposal, showing off her gorgeous, emerald cut, solitaire diamond ring.
"The most special day," he wrote in the caption of the post. "I'm the luckiest guy in the world. I love you."
Since his breakup with Paige, Perry has kept a much lower profile than his high profile ex-girlfriend. Before getting engaged, Perry took to Instagram on April 1, 2023, where he posted a series of photos with his new love during their trip to Paris, France. And he clearly loves traveling all over the world, even though he is currently based in Miami.
But when he isn't traveling with his fiancée, Perry is the founder and CEO of dv01, a leading data intelligence platform with integrated loan-level consumer credit data and analytics.
"You could think of us as a data hub in the center of the markets, we interface with originators and issuers, all the banks that trade and underwrite deals and all the end investors that invest in them," Perry explained during a November 2022 episode of Pitch It: The Fintech Startups Podcast.
How long were Paige DeSorbo and Perry Rahbar together?
Paige and Perry dated for a little over one year before breaking up in October 2020. The former couple began dating in 2019, going Instagram official that August. At the time, Paige took to Instagram, where she posted a photo of her and Perry, hanging out in the Hamptons. "Feeling cute, might keep him," she captioned the photo.
Details on Paige DeSorbo and Perry Rahbar's relationship
In September 2019, Paige took to Instagram, where she posted a photo of her and Perry hanging out at Sauce restaurant, which Perry co-owned.
"Pizza King and Queen," she wrote in the caption of the post.
Although Paige was dating Perry during Summer House Season 4, Perry never made an appearance on the show or visited Paige and her roommates at the house. Paige opened up about this to Yahoo's In the Know in April 2020.
"In the beginning, everyone was like, 'Where's Perry? Where's your boyfriend?' And when I explained to them, like, 'Look, it's not me. I would love for him to come and hang out with all of us. It's not me making the decision.' They kind of understood it," she recalled at the time. "I can't force someone to do something they don't want to do."
She continued, noting that her boyfriend just didn't want to come to the house. "But he is just in that very different place in his life than I think all of us are, even though he's 37 — he's Kyle's age — they're just in different places," she noted. "I could never picture Perry drinking until 3 a.m. and eating snacks in the kitchen with us. He's just not that type of person."The couple ended up spending a lot of time together during the COVID-19 pandemic, having the cutest date nights together and drinking coffee together in their outdoor space. But during Summer House Season 5, viewers watched as Paige grew increasingly unsatisfied in their relationship, as she was at a "turning point" in her career.
Why did Paige DeSorbo and Perry Rahbar break up?
Paige confirmed in October 2020 that she and Perry had officially broken up. The Giggly Squad podcast host spoke with People in February 2021, where she opened up about what led to their breakup. "I just knew in the pit of my stomach that I didn't feel the best about myself," she admitted. "I didn't feel ready to take on certain things that I know that he is so ready for. He's 10 years older than me, so much smarter, so much more accomplished, just more mature. And I never wanted to let him down. So I just felt like maybe this isn't our right time."
But, she admitted that she had no hard feelings toward him. "We definitely still love each other," she continued. "And I think the number one thing is we both really respect each other."
During the Summer House After Show during Summer House Season 5, which aired in April 2021, Paige opened up even more about what led to the demise of her relationship. "I think I was watching so many of my roommates be in these relationships and just feel so differently than I felt. And it was kind of very eye opening, I think," she said.
