Nikki Garcia and ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev’s co-parenting relationship is going just fine, a source exclusively shares with Parade.
"Nikki and Artem are co-parenting really, really well,” the source says, noting that the former Dancing With the Stars pro, 43, resides close to the pro wrestler. “It's all about [their 4-year-old son] Matteo."
Parade has reached out to Garcia's rep for comment and has attempted to reach Chigvintsev.
Garcia, 41, and Chigvintsev first met after they were paired together on Season 25 of Dancing With the Stars in 2017. The pair confirmed their relationship via Instagram in 2019 after sparking romance rumors post-DWTS and made their red carpet debut later that year.
Garcia announced that she was expecting the couple’s first child together in January 2020.
"[It was] a total surprise," she told People at the time. "It even took me a good week to come to terms with like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant.' I'm not ready for it."
The duo welcomed their son Matteo in July that year, and they tied the knot in August 2022.
In August 2024, Chigvintsev was arrested on accusations of corporal injury to a spouse. The following month, Garcia filed for divorce from the professional dancer.
Their divorce was finalized that November.
