The grim reaper has made several recent visits on The Young and the Restless. In July, three deaths occurred, leaving fans in shock. While it’s always sad to see a character go, this death may be the hardest.
Who Recently Died On Y&R?
The Y&R death toll started on July 3 with Cole’s (J. Eddie Peck) passing. The writer had been battling health issues, which led to his hospitalization. Despite trying to remain optimistic, Cole knew his time was ending. He shared a sweet and final goodbye with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Claire (Hayley Erin) before succumbing to his illness.
Damian (Jermaine Rivers) was the next character to bite the big one. He was drinking whiskey and talking with Cane (Billy Flynn) when he was killed by a knife to the back. Damian was the first casualty of the France trip, launching a murder mystery.
The latest death to rock Y&R occurred on July 28. Chance (Conner Floyd) arrived in France to help Cane, who believed someone was out to kill him. Unfortunately, Damian became the victim, and an investigation proved Cane’s assistant Carter (Vincent Stalba) was the killer. During a showdown with Carter, Chance was fatally shot and died surrounded by Cane, Lily (Christel Khalil), and Billy (Jason Thompson).
Whose Death Hit The Hardest?
Damian was a newcomer, who was on the show less than six months. Although fans had a hard time connecting with him, his death was still sad. It’s going to be upsetting for Amy (Valarie Pettiford) and Nate (Sean Dominic), who had just reunited with him.
Cole was a fan favorite, and his return laid the groundwork for a reunion with Victoria and their long-lost daughter, Claire. Things were going well for the reunited family until Cole got sick. Although it seemed Cole was on his way out,t fans hoped he’d be cured. Sadly, there was no hope for him and Victoria and Claire are left without the beloved Howard patriarch.
Out of all the recent deaths, Chance is the most shocking and saddest. Fans had a bad feeling when Chance arrived in France to protect Cane. Their gut instinct was right when the Genoa City detective died from a gunshot wound. Chance is a legacy character and a member of the Chancellor family. Viewers watched Nina (Tricia Cast) and Phillip’s (Thom Bierdz) son grow up before their very eyes. Chance had his whole life ahead of him, and now it’s been taken away.
