"Whoops! Saints Rival’s Online Fail Has New Orleans Laughing Out Loud"

Saints rival makes hilarious social media blunder that will make New Orleans' fan base feel incredibly thankful

The New Orleans Saints will have their fair share of tough challenges on the football field this season. As for now, the battle for likes and follows on social media rages on for plenty of the NFL world.

For the Saints, one of their biggest rivals in the entire league made a fool of themselves in a hilarious way on social media this week.

Falcons accidentally dunk on themselves

In a recently-deleted social media post, the Falcons accidentally made a 28-3 Super Bowl joke on themselves. Of course, that angle wasn't what they were aiming for in their post, but it was the takeaway for plenty of football fans. I imagine that's why it was taken down fairly quickly.

If you aren't familiar, the Falcons' Super Bowl LI collapse against the New England Patriots is a historic choke in sports. It's the largest comeback in Super Bowl history, and Saints fans will never let ATL live that down.

They don't help themselves when they make posts that backfire like this one, either, though.

Lucas Panzica of 104.5 The Zone and Tennessee Titans radio does a weekly bit on the "dumbest thing in sports" for his followers. One response mentioned Atlanta's fail of a post.

Saints' strong social media content

Meanwhile, New Orleans' social media pages have been doing quite well recently. They've released some hype videos from OTAs practices that fans have appreciated and watched numerous times. They also made an impressive schedule release video that got plenty of laughs and included new HC Kellen Moore.

We will see if we get more personal content from veterans and rookies on the Saints. That was an offseason aspect that was missing at times under Dennis Allen's tutelage in New Orleans.
