Why Bravo Needs Cameras up for Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas Family Show

Love them or hate them, there is something about Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas that makes for good TV.

Teresa Giudice and Husband Luis Ruelas Owe $3 Million in Taxes: Report | Us Weekly

Fans of the Real Housewives of New Jersey have been watching Tre since 2009. Over the years, she has shared her ups and downs, including her bad marriage, family fallout, and jail time. So when Luis stepped onto the scene, there was hope; for a second, Teresa would get her happily ever after. That isn’t how the cookie crumbled. However, the happy couple made the news again, thanks to their debt. Whatever is going on, I think it is obvious Bravo needs to get cameras to the Garden State fast!

RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas have tax and money issues

Earlier this week, news spread that Luis had been hit with an immense tax lien. According to court documents, Teresa owes $303,889.20 from a lien issued on March 20 by the State of New Jersey. Luis is also in trouble and reportedly owes $2.6 million. In total, the couple owes $3,037,255.20. However, that total does not include the $163,523.94 lien that Luis was hit with in December 2024. According to People, on March 6, Luis “requested an extension on the maturity date for the $1 million loan on the New Jersey home he and Teresa purchased in 2021 for $3,350,000.”

In addition, Luis took out a $250,000 loan for his mortgage. Just two weeks later, the couple was hit with their liens. Luis and Tre have been together since 2020 and walked down the aisle in 2022. Teresa also did not sign a prenup. As Real Housewives of New Jersey fans know, Tre has been in trouble with the law once before. In 2015, she received an 11-month sentence in prison for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud.

Teresa Giudice’s daughters have grown up on RHONJ

Naturally, with all the drama, Bravo cameras being picked back up wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Viewers would be able to see their financial issues unfold, and Tre could at least get a paycheck for her troubles. But an even bigger reason for cameras to resume filming is the fact that her four daughters have grown up on the small screen. Audriana Giudice’s birth was filmed for the Real Housewives of New Jersey back in 2009. Tre was the first and only housewife to allow cameras to follow her to the delivery room.

Fans have always watched Tre’s eldest daughter, Gia Giudice, mature. When fans first met her, she was a seven-year-old who desperately wanted to keep her extended family intact. Viewers watched as she tried to be a child actor but sadly didn’t make the cut. She also had her one-hit wonder, Waking Up in the Morning, which Will Smith even covered. So, for cameras to continue to update fans on the daughters’ lives would be a fascinating aspect of Tre’s family show.

RHONJ could enjoy a fresh start if Teresa Giudice got her own Bravo show

Since Season 14, there have been rumors that the Real Housewives of New Jersey will be given a massive shakeup. It didn’t help that Melissa Gorga and Tre refused to film with one another. For the most part, the cast was split down the middle, and it left the season lacking. Since the finale, many have wondered what would become of the beloved franchise. It was rumored that Melissa and Dolores Catania would be the only OG faces coming back. But there has been no credit to the rumors. And Teresa had consistently stated she would not be leaving the show.

However, if she were given a family show, it would allow the Real Housewives of New Jersey to begin all over with fresher faces. There would be no worry about which fan favorite to ask back. The series could have its reboot with a younger cast that fans could learn to love just like the original ladies. With a family show of her own, Teresa would still get the Bravo paycheck and be able to deliver on the drama. Frankly, it would be the best of both worlds. So, Bravo, what do you think?
