Isaiah is constantly giving advice. He should be so much more.
It's time for Isaiah to have a story.
General Hospital‘s new doctor had such promise. The mysterious Isaiah came to town as a friend of Lucky’s, but it seemed like he would be so much more. What happened?
McDreamy
Isaiah (Sawandi Wison) first appeared in Port Charles as an unconscious John Doe, but was really a heroic doctor who came to help rescue Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) from Sidwell (Carlo Rota). From there, he saved Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) life and was hired at GH. This character had such potential.
He had an immediate attraction to Jordan (Tanisha Harper), and the feeling was very mutual. It was about time for the Deputy Mayor to have a steamy love interest. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts, and they made a great couple. Unfortunately, Jordan’s need to take down Sidwell was stronger than her feelings for her new boyfriend, so the relationship was over before it got off the ground.
There were also hints that Isaiah was related to the Gannons from One Life to Live’s Llanview, but that never materialized. What is left for this character?
McBoring
It appears that the writers have no idea what to do with the handsome doctor. Instead of giving him a new love interest or an exciting new case at the hospital, he doles out advice. He is in everyone’s business and the go-to for every damsel in distress.
He talks to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) about her feelings for Lucky. Lulu goes to him with her problems. The good doctor is the only one who will listen to Willow’s “woe is me” whining. Portia has also taken him on as her confidant regarding her marriage and her jealousy over Jordan. The guy has become a walking advice columnist.
Isaiah has leading man potential. He is a talented doctor with a sense of adventure who helps the less fortunate. He should be so much more than GH’s “Dear Abby”. It’s time to give this man an exciting storyline and a new love interest.
