The relationship between Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey has been rocky for years, but after the Brit Eady photo scandal, the ladies are no longer speaking. According to Cynthia, the two haven’t had a real conversation since everything went down at Kenya Moore Hair Spa. Their friendship is completely on ice.
When Kenya showed the explicit pictures of Brit, Cynthia expressed her dissatisfaction. She told Kenya that she was disappointed before walking out of the spa. In a conversation with Page Six, Cynthia confirmed that there hasn’t been much movement.
“I’ve reached out after the fact. We texted for a little bit,” Cynthia explained.
Cynthia said that things got frosty when she reiterated she was “disappointed” in how Kenya handled the situation.
“My feelings were coming from a place of love and protection for Kenya,” Cynthia added.
“I just hold her to a certain standard ’cause I do know her and I know she’s a woman of class,” Cynthia continued. “Kenya’s amazing, but I just felt like it was just beneath her. I couldn’t support it.”
Supposedly, Cynthia also reached out to Kenya once Bravo confirmed the news that she would not be returning for the remainder of Season 16. Still, Kenya hasn’t responded. Instead, she’s been sharing shady messages about Cynthia on social media.
Although Kenya has been ignoring Cynthia and taking shots at her, Cynthia seems unbothered. She reiterated that she and Kenya have had a relationship for years, and she’ll be ready to pick up the phone if and when Kenya decides to call.
Cynthia said, “I love Kenya. Whenever she’s ready to ring this phone, honey, I can’t answer it fast enough. I have to respect her time and her space.”
