Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is showing the demise of PK Kemsley and Dorit Kemsley’s seemingly perfect marriage. The curtain has been pulled back on the couple, and fans have been given a bird’s-eye view of their issues. Now, PK is speaking out regarding how his wife has upset him.
PK Kemsley isn’t happy with Dorit right now
During the Season 14 episode, Dorit claimed that PK’s “full-blown” alcoholism led to the couple’s split. But according to PK, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. While chatting with Mauricio Umansky and host Alex Baskin on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, PK shared, “I was shocked, disappointed, and upset, at what Dorit had to say.”
Listeners could hear the hurt in the manager’s voice. “Obviously, my alcoholism had an element of responsibility in relation to the breakdown of our marriage, but that was just a component. Alcoholism is a symptom; it’s not a cause. So it’s not fair to say, ‘He was a fully-blown alcoholic; that’s why we separated,’” he added.
PK Kemsley is proud of how far he has come
The father of two shared, “First of all, I’m really public and proud about my sobriety.” Going public on the franchise has helped him to “inspire other people” to understand that “recovery” is a possibility. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added, “It’s a very emotional, tough journey.” He added that alcoholism is a “really cunning, sophisticated illness.” As for Dorit’s shameful finger-pointing, PK attributed it to “Dorit’s lack of understanding about sobriety. There is no fully-blown alcoholic; you’re either an alcoholic or you’re not.”
PK feels Dorit has misled RHOBH viewers by talking about “the darkest times of his life and suggesting that she held his hand through them.” Even though PK isn’t angry with his wife he is “sad” she chose to bring it up at all. The businessman doubled down, adding that Dorit has “changed so dramatically” since joining the show in Season 7. Sadly, it looks like a divorce could happen in the future.
