On top of Mika Zibanejad, now Will Cuylle and Brett Berard are set to participate in the 2025 IIHF Men’s World Championship.

Cuylle will play for Team Canada and Berard will play for Team USA.

In his second full season with the New York Rangers, Cuylle saw drastic improvements from his rookie campaign.

The 23-year-old recorded 20 goals, 25 assists, and 45 points in 82 games while averaging 15:05 minutes.

He also carved out a role for himself on the penalty kill as well as the second power-play unit at times.

Meanwhile, Berard turned heads during training camp and eventually found his way to the Rangers roster after starting the season with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

He wasn’t necessarily an everyday player for the Rangers, but Berard showed flashes of promise throughout this season.

In 35 games, Berard recorded six goals, four assists, and 10 points while averaging 10:43 minutes.

Both these young players look to take a step in their development process by playing at the World Championship.
