The New York Rangers are ready to embark on a new era with Mike Sullivan as head coach.

After a disastrous season in New York, the Rangers fired Peter Laviolette and replaced him with Sullivan with the hopes of a much-needed culture shift.

One of Sullivan’s most important jobs will be to foster and help these young players develop the right way.

Arguably the Rangers’ most promising young player is Will Cuylle who is ready and excited to work with Sullivan moving forward.

“I don’t know him personally or have never met him,” Cuylle said about Sullivan. “It’s good. I have lots of trust in the organization to hire a good option for us. I’m looking forward to meeting with him and working with him and hopefully have a good bounce back year in New York.”

The 23-year-old forward is coming off of an excellent sophomore season where he recorded  20 goals, 25 assists, and 45 points in 82 games while averaging 15:05 minutes.

Cuylle confirmed that he has not spoken with Sullivan since the hire took place.
