William Karlsson Shines Bright: Brings Home Bronze for Sweden at the 2025 World Championship

Vegas Golden Knights fans have something extra to cheer about — “Wild Bill” William Karlsson just wrapped up a standout performance at the 2025 IIHF World Championship. In front of a home crowd in Stockholm, Karlsson helped lead Team Sweden to a dominant 6–2 victory over Denmark in the bronze medal game, securing a well-deserved spot on the podium.

After the Golden Knights were eliminated from the NHL playoffs, Karlsson wasted no time joining his national team. His return was especially meaningful, as he had to sit out the Four Nations tournament earlier this year due to injury. But true to form, he came back strong — proving once again why he's a fan favorite and a pillar of Sweden’s lineup.

Throughout the tournament, Karlsson delivered key performances, including a clutch two-goal game against Poland in the group stage. This bronze medal adds to his already impressive international résumé, which includes a gold medal from the 2017 World Championship.

With his signature work ethic, sharp instincts, and unshakable spirit, Karlsson continues to be a source of pride for Vegas. Fans are already looking ahead to the next NHL season, hoping he’ll bring the same winning energy back to Sin City.
