With Bo Nix in the fold, NFL Draft is wide open for Denver Broncos

Last season brought a lot of familiarity for the Denver Broncos. Even if it was a bit foreign.

Winning season.

Berth in the NFL Playoffs.

For the first time in just about a decade, those two accomplishments have brought genuine excitement and enthusiasm for the Broncos. For the first time in a long time, this organization has ownership, a general manager, a head coach, and a quarterback, and they are all aligned on the same path. The missing piece was the quarterback.

Now, with Bo Nix in the fold, that opened up NFL free agency for this franchise, as well as the NFL Draft. For the first time since Peyton Manning, Denver enters the Draft with a quarterback, and that opens everything up for this franchise.

Literally anything and everything is on the table for the Broncos come Thursday, save for QB. They could trade up. They could trade down. They could take a running back, tight end, receiver, or a defensive player with their first-round pick. Whomever makes Denver better, regardless of position, has to be freeing for George Paton and Sean Payton.

It’s a great situation, and not one the Broncos have found themselves in in a long time. It’s the next step to getting this franchise back to contention, and with it, some more of that foreign familiarity, like rooting for a contender again.
