LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Women in Sports + Events Las Vegas (WISE LV) and the Vegas Golden Knights celebrated Women’s History Month with an event honoring trailblazing women in sports on Friday.

The "WISE LV Power Play: Up Close with the Women of the Vegas Golden Knights" event, held at T-Mobile Arena, highlighted the leadership, challenges, and growing influence of women in the industry.

The event welcomed 45 industry professionals for an exclusive networking opportunity and panel discussion featuring senior and executive-level women from the Vegas Golden Knights organization.

Panelists shared stories about their careers, discussed the importance of mentorship, and explored ways to create more opportunities for women in sports.

Key topics included breaking barriers in the sports industry, the importance of mentorship and advocacy for women, creating an inclusive future in sports organizations, and advice for women pursuing careers in the industry.

The celebration continued with Women’s History Knight at T-Mobile Arena, where the Vegas Golden Knights will honor women making an impact in sports during their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Kandi Conda, the newly appointed President of WISE Las Vegas, emphasized the importance of WISE’s mission. "WISE is committed to providing women with the resources, connections, and support they need to thrive in this industry," said Conda. "The powerful discussions by the women leading the charge for the Vegas Golden Knights team on Friday were inspiring and a true reflection of the incredible talent and leadership within our sports community."
