The Welsh opera singer has been involved in a number of scandals since signing up to Strictly Come Dancing's 2024 series
Wynne Evans has revealed the full video he claims the 'BBC wouldn't let him publish' after an inside joke with Strictly Come Dancing co-star Katya Jones went wrong.
The Welsh opera singer, 53, known for the GoCompare insurance advertisements, competed in the recent series of the BBC dancing programme alongside the professional dancer, making it through to the show's annual Blackpool special.
But he recently announced that he had been dropped by the BBC and will no longer present on BBC Radio Wales following an apology saying that he used “inappropriate language” during the launch of the Strictly Come Dancing tour earlier this year.
The drama came after an earlier media story involving Wynne and his dance partner Katya during the 2024 series. Whilst competing on the show in October, Wynne was seen moving his hand over her waist during a live show, which she then moved.
Katya also appeared to refuse a high five from him. The pair later stated that they had been 'joking,' with them apologising over the situation.
Wynne has since claimed that they had made a longer video explaining that he and Katya were just doing a social experiment, but alleged that the BBC didn't want him to share that, and instead are said to have told him to record a shorter version of the apology, which was eventually shared.
Now, Wynne has posted an Instagram video showing himself and Katya backstage, suggesting that it's the video that was unused last year.
In the video, Katya begins by saying: "Hello everyone. We felt the need to clarify something. We find it quite fascinating how people take time to look into, in such detail, every gesture, every look."

As she laughed, Katya said: "So we thought ..." Wynne said: "Tonight." They said together: "We'd mess around." Wynne continued: "We said 'ah I'll put my hand on your waist. You pretend to move it away'." Katya added: "Let's see who notices."
Wynne continued: "And now, everybody thinks I'm a weirdo. But really, I promise you, I'm not." He added: "And we're doing this high ten thing as well, which ... she blanks me from a high ten."
They went on back and forth before Wynne apologised and Katya said: "He's not a creep." Wynne agreed, before his dance partner said: "He's a brilliant dancer!"
It comes after Wynne became emotional as he recalled the controversy around his time in Strictly saying it took him into the “darkest spot” of his life during his first TV interview on This Morning on Wednesday (June 11).
It also comes after Wynne shared in an Instagram post that he is engaged to his girlfriend Liz Brookes, saying that he is feeling “very lucky” after proposing in Morocco.
