Y&R Fans Slam Damian as ‘Dumb’ for Touching the Knife—But What If It’s Much Worse?!

Young & Restless viewers were stunned when Cane called Chance into the maze in Nice and informed him that he believed someone may try to kill him. No one among the guests has it in for him, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be people of interest if an attempt is made on his life… and one guest in particular just set themselves up as the prime suspect!

Damian Kane: Prime Suspect

As one Young & Restless fan, LeaString, observed on Reddit, “Damian picks up dagger knife… okay that was dumb on his part.” She’s not wrong!

It was a classic cringeworthy moment when Damian came across Cane’s knife collection while searching for a deck of cards… and proceeded to pick one up. Given we all had murder on our minds thanks to Cane’s conversation with Chance, it was truly a “D’oh” moment when he handled the potential weapon and left his prints all over it.

Given that Cane fired Damian and he’s entangled with Ashby’s ex-wife, even the sometimes inept Detective Chancellor would be able to come up with a motive. I think we all see where this is headed… Damian has inadvertently set himself up as the prime suspect!

Damian wouldn’t be the only one who lands on a suspect list, however. As we all know, Adam’s about to show up with news that will enrage Victor, Adam will ‘cross lines’ to protect his family, and Nick just doled out a warning to Cane when they crossed paths.

Odds ‘n’ Ends

There’s big trouble ahead for Audra as she continues to get closer to Kyle, and while that’s intriguing, so is the burgeoning bond between Holden and Claire. If Cole dies while Kyle is away and unreachable, as the preview suggests, it will be Holden running to her rescue yet again…

In the same vein, Nate and Victoria reconciled their differences, perhaps setting up a scenario where he becomes the person his ex leans on in her grief while his girlfriend remains overseas.

The preview for next week revealed that Cane is working with Holden to buy up all that prime real estate Adam’s so panicked about, and we saw Holden assure him that no one had a clue. That’s not entirely true though… he told Claire. He didn’t mention Cane’s name, but it was a slip-up that could come back to haunt him.

While Mariah’s sad story was put on hold once again, we did get to see a little more of Sharon over in France. It made sense for her to be nervous about feeling trapped… and how fun were her scenes with Phyllis? A fresh and intriguing dynamic.

Lily and Damian have grown on me since they’ve been in France despite her tantrums over her ex. It’s irksome that it seems a foregone conclusion that Cane will win her back.
