(This day ahead recap episode airs in the USA on July 7. Expect spoilers! Recaps go live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)
Kyle drops by Audra’s room. She greets him in her underwear and a robe.
She offers him champagne but he turns her down. She toasts to getting all she wants.
He thought they should revisit their perfume war plans but thinks that can wait until she’s dressed.
They sit and talk about the perfume war idea. He thinks it is all flat now that they know Dumas is Cane.
She thinks they can still play on the mystery but Kyle can’t see it. Cane will be outted as soon as they have cell service again.
Audra thinks they just need to finesse it. He still thinks a social media battle sounds clever. They do make good enemies.
He says they are only on a truce and will go back to hating each other soon.
She says that the risk here is all his. She’s determined to expose Jabot as a tired dinosaur.
He points out her company mostly exists on paper. She’s confident he thinks her idea is great and she’s having an influence over him.
She’s confident that she will become a major tastemaker and he’ll be left in the last century.
When she suggests they brainstorm, he thinks they should do that in the dining area. She insists on changing in front of him.
In the maze, Cane asks Phyllis if she would really betray people she loves for him. She say “betray” is a big word.
She asks him to confirm that he plans to take over all the companies in Genoa City and run them under one umbrella. That’s something she can get behind.
She’s determined to prove to the doubters and haters that she’s in and right by his side.
“I’m your biggest cheerleader,” she says, asking him to keep Victor on after she rips his company away so she can be his boss. They all smile at that.
Amanda tells her not to jump the gun. This is a process and she’s a cog, Phyllis says she’s exploding with ideas.
Amanda suggests she keep them to herself and Cane reminds her this is all hypothetical.
Phyllis assumes he’s already made moves. The most elite families won’t go down without a fight. How does he plan to pull this off?
She wonders if all the families might team up against him.
Cane says she doesn’t have to worry about that and he’s not getting into details. He does ask her for a show of faith so he knows she can be trusted.
“Name it,” she prompts, eager to throw someone under the bus.
After spotting Lily, Cane says they will finish this later.
He crosses over to Lily and Damian. She snubs him and Cane walks off.
Amanda and Phyllis try talking to them. Lily complains that it’s like prison but Phyllis is chipper and suggests she relax.
Lily wonders why she’s so upbeat after all that’s happened to Daniel. She’s in party mode rather than helping him through huis grief.
Phyllis cares but she’s surprised Lily gives a damn.
Amanda tries to split up the ladies as Lily accuses her of bullying her way in and Phyllis says she’s bringing things down.
Lily is sure she’s up to something and attacks her for turning her back on her son.
Phyllis says he’s spending time with his dad and accuses her of being angry that Billy hired her to replace her. Then she suggests she’s using Damian to break Cane’s heart.
Damian has no idea who Phyllis is but says she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
When Lily complains they are being treated like rats in a maze, Phyllis goes silent and glares at her before storming off.

Lily is impressed to see how much he cares about his mom. She wonders how she ever could have distrusted him.
Cane watches as she takes Damian’s hand.
Kyle and Audra go back to the train and she tells him they have lots of fresh ideas. He says they should flesh them out and meet later.
She tells him how heady the fresh air is and warns that he’s starting to agree with her too often. She enters her cabin and smiles to herself.
