Y&R Shocker (April 9): Will Chance Solve the Mystery and Save Traci Before It’s Too Late?

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, April 9, find Jack and Ashley stressing over Traci’s plan to confront Alan in another country, while Chance may be the one to bring this mystery to a close.

Months ago, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) watched Alan (Christopher Cousins) go over the balcony in Paris with his evil twin brother, Martin (also Cousins). Martin died. Alan walked away none the worse for wear. We thought.

Since then, Alan and Traci (Beth Maitland) have fallen in love. Mostly off-screen, but we’ll take Traci’s word for it. Except Traci has started doubting her own word. What if Alan isn’t Alan? What if he’s Martin? And what if Martin was the one who kidnapped and tortured Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)?

Jack (Peter Bergman) doesn’t think his sister confronting a potential nut-case all on her own is a good idea. But Traci is so used to the power of her overpowering goodness disarming all and sundry that she is confident she’ll be protected by an aura of angel’s breath. So Jack and Ashley just sit and stress. Maybe they’ll have lunch while they do it.

Man of Action

Chance (Conner Floyd) worked a massive amount of overtime to figure out who held Sharon and Phyllis, and he definitely looked into Alan/Martin as one of the suspects. But Phyllis thought that if she said that Chance really, really, really needed to find the guy! Because Phyllis was upset! Can he think of a better motivator than that?

So, Chance is now working even harder. And he’s found something. Will it be enough to convict? And will it be in time to save Traci? And does Chance have jurisdiction in France? Who cares? Phyllis will be avenged!
